Student loans & government grants for higher education There are a number of loan or support schemes available for students in the UK, other countries in the European Union & from the European Economic Area (EEA) - Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein - for various types of education & training in Britain.

Student loans & grants in England & Wales are available to UK students for UK full & part-time courses at UK universities. This does not include universities in the Republic of Ireland. Students funded under the Regulations for Scotland & Northern Ireland can apply for support for study in Ireland.
